Hockey Stats is an application I wrote in my spare time. It is aimed at coaches or parents who want to track team statistics. The application is fairly self explanatory and as such I do not provide a online manual or documentation. If while using the application you have any questions or problems it is best to simply email me. I appreciate any constructive criticism regarding the application.

Nice app! A coiple of thibgs things that I would like to see in an updated version.
ReplyDelete1) The ability/option to set game as home or away.
2) When entering new goals I would like to add 1st and 2nd assist (if applicable).
3) The ability to select players from a roster per game. This would be great to achieve a "total games played-stat page" when viewing the players stats.
I could think of heaps more, but those would be great additions I think.
Although it is not very clear you can add first and second assists. By double tapping on a player in goal entry it will mark that person as the goal scorer by putting a gray "G" behind the name. The second and third person you double tap will be assigned "A1" and "A2" accordingly. Double tapping them again will remove the assignment.

ReplyDeleteI coach for the Jr. Sharks as well and I recently added your Hockey Stats App. I am trying to set it up but each time I go to add players and after I have added 2-3 players the app crashes on me. When I try to reopen it simply will not open? Any sugestions? I have a first gen Iphone with Software version 3.1 (7C144)with Modem firmware 04.05.04_G Love the look of the APP and I am looking forward to putting it to use once i get this working. Do you have an update coming out soon?
Just bought app and never got the whole team loaded before I had the same problem....looks like a good app if it worked on my 3GS phone

ReplyDeleteJohn, I am struggling to get the ap to function on my iPhone 4. Is there an upgrade coming as I was very excited to see this as it fills an unmet need.
ReplyDeleteSorry about this bug. I have a fix in the works. For now make sure you do the following:
ReplyDelete- Before entering any players change the sort option to Name.
- Make sure you assign a line to every player.
The crash occurs when it tries to sort the players that have no lines assigned to them.

ReplyDeleteWould it be possible for you to try to fix a broken database. I used the app last time in october, but somehow the program crashed (perhaps too cold or battery drained quickly). Now it won't open with the old database. I tried to fix it wit SQLite in windows but couldn't fix it. Program just opens and closes immediately.
If I re-install the app it works fine, but I would hate losing all stats...
